Poor Derby Road Re-Design

With 70 crashes along the same stretch of road resulting in personal injury Derby street Manor Road is an accident blackspot. Derby Council decided to change this and after £115,000 worth of changes, motorists are saying that it’s even worse than before.

The confusing new road layout, which has little in the way of signs to instruct drivers of the changes, has led to motorists driving the wrong way on the newly renovated road. The changes have resulted in the slip road becoming overcrowded and traffic having to queue in the fast lane of another road.

A group of residents that live near the new changes are looking to raise the money to take action against Derby council because they say the council unlawfully made the changes without it being made by the elected councillors.
