No Win No Fee Claims Relating to Asbestos

The upcoming changes to no win no fee claims in England and Wales will stop solicitors from claiming any fees from the losing side. These changes are being put in place by the Government but an exception has recently been announced regarding claims for suffers of cancer caused by asbestos related problems.

Cancer caused by asbestos can take decades to show and its sufferers are usually related to schools in the 1960s. The changes the government are looking to put in place are to stop the number of bogus claims that are made. Since asbestos related cancer can take so long to surface, its been said that suffers are exempt because the severity of the illness is indisputable. As well as this the government are looking at ways to help sufferers.
