Non Car Crash Whiplash Claim

This week we’ve been discussing whiplash claims but as a bit of an offbeat story, out of the following options how do you think American Eric Chavez suffered a whiplash injury?

A) Falling out of a tree

B) Playing baseball

C) Running into a small wall

D) A cycling accident

The answer is B) Playing baseball.

New York Yankees player Eric Chavez dove for a ball and suffered what the team referred to as “whiplash and a possible concussion”. He didn’t leave the game there though and continued to play and has up to bat when he felt dizzy and had to leave the pitch.

So there you go, it’s not just road accidents that lead to whiplash.
